As a child l was always fascinated by paintings on a wall , like a dream or fairy tale there was this door opened to another world , a door that l gladly walked through .
In my youth l participated in many sports , l feel this athletic base led me into the aesthetic of art .Meaning harmony and grace had to be balanced and executed in the fleeing moment .
My interests took me to Fanshawe College of Fine Art than later in Toronto School Of Art and Realist Academy . Later to New York Students Art League where throughout the yrs worked with noted artists Max Ginsberg, Sharon Sprung ,David Kassan, Shana Levingston and later in Germany with the hyper realist master Dirk Dzirmersky.
Most of my working life has been in the printing industry as a commercial artist , silkscreening and in the digital printing industry .
The last twelve years l have taught the Charles Bargue drawing course out of my Toronto Harbourfront and Kensengton Market Studios to many students from around the world , before retiring to Lakefield Ontario .
Here on a beautiful 100 acre farm where 40 acres are of private forests with trails takes me back into the hay fields of Monet and Van Gogh as well as the aesthetics of the Canadian Group of Seven .
l also very much enjoy doing commissioned portrait works in oil and charcoal
cheers
