Artist statement:
Avi Kwa Ame, is our most sacred mountain, our origin, our place of creation. It was the site of many events in the ancient times. Above Spirit mountain the stars told stories that we tell to our children. The mountains were our guardians when we were a young tribe, but now the earth is getting older, and sore from so much development. The mountains are old now, and it is our time to protect them.
