I love to walk at RSPB Rainham Marshes. Out alone on the walkway, it is almost like being in another world with just the calling of the birds, the breeze in the reeds and very little else to view, since the real reeds obscure the low-lying landscape.
I painted this interpretation of that experience with texture underlying the acrylic paint and a simple colour scheme, exaggerating the simplicity of the scenery.
Ready to hang, this piece is painted on a box canvas and the sides are painted blue to match the underlying ground.
