Creamy sand and soft blues, blue-greys and turquoises were used to portray this group of little gulls, just landed on the beach. They spent ages wheeling around, landing, eating and then taking to the air again.
I was fascinated with the shadows and the reflections in the wet sand.
Although it is fairly small and simple, this piece captures the feeing I wish to portray, to connect us with the energy of the sea and the birds.
The painting is ready to be hung, unframed, with its sides painted cream.
