2023-2025 Circling

The “Circling” series is an ongoing project. There are several series under this main title: “Leaving the Past Behind”, Overcircling ,“Masquerade,” and “Happiness is a Full Circle.” As someone who’s both scientifically curious and creatively inclined, I’ve always wanted to find a way to connect these two sides of myself. I’ve been using circles, rings, spheres, and other geometric shapes to represent Time and Space for many years. The Overcircling series follows a new set of rules that creates an inner harmony that reflects my desire for beauty and happiness in a world that seems to be filled with problems. In the 2024 version, I’m overcircling old, discarded artwork, both digitally and physically, to live up to the name of this new series: “Leaveing the Past Behind.”
2025 I started to incorporate my passion for Bookmaking and Fine Art Printmaking into my work again and created a series of smaller scale interactive art works..

In 2017 the Series "Of Bots, Drones and Other Invasive Species was created for a Collective Exhibition in Nuremberg, Germany. My intention was to depict the fact that mankind is more and more invading the environment, the space and us self as human beings.

Travel Sketchbooks

The sketchbooks themselves are not made by myself, but store bought. I started with watercolour sketchbooks in Myanmar, where I brought two Stillman and Birn sketchbooks. After that followed Strathmore, Fabriano, Canson, Rhodia, Clairefountain and others. Materials were fountain pen and ink, watercolour and watercolour pencils.

2000-2003 Potsdamer Platz

End of 2000 I visited the newly finished Potsdamer Platz in Berlin for the first time. It fascinated me and especially the Sony Center, conceived by star architect Helmut Jahn, was the inspiration for a whole series of drawings, prints, paintings and photographs, that later resulted in two series: Urban Water and Urban Landscape. "THE PRESERVED DAYS"

Since 1987, I have used a combination of hand printing, stencil work, and painting in my work.
Serialization and repetition, fine differentiations, and positive/negative forms together with line as accent and surface as foundation are intended to create tension-filled compositions.
The intention of my current work is to find new approaches for painting in space. Among other things, this results in the creation of three-dimensional objects in the daily books that establish connections between painting, photography, drawing, and text.
The main theme of my work is the human being, who is determined by their environment and the passage of time.

Archive l Art 2020

Just returned from Brazil in January 2020, COVID started to change our life for longer than the world thought. The devastating times brought my focus back to art and I created new art for myself as well as my business.
