Beth Van Hoesen was a prominent SF Bay Area artist and also the wife of Mark Adams. Margery Livingston was a textile teacher and the Department chair of SF State University. It was she who connected Jean Pierre Larochette to the students at SF state university who volunteered to learn and demonstrate tapestry weaving and who would eventually form the SF Tapestry workshop.
