Sylvia Moore was one of the founders of the San Jose Museum of Quilts & Textiles. In honor of her life and contribution to her time at SJMQT, this quilt was purchased by her friends and donated to the permanent collection. This quilt is unlike anything we have in the collection. An original pattern design dating c. 1880 and likely from the eastern US. The applique design is enhanced by the extensive hand quilting in three different patterns.
