This is a usual variation of the pineapple design. The cotton print hexagons used for the templates were printed in the late 1800s. The wool seems to be both summer and winter weight. Some basting threads still in place. Colors are strong and a visual treat. The back side is left unfinished to show off the workmanship of the maker and each hexagon and diamond shape has its own backing piece.
