Commissioned in 1988 by the San Jose Public Arts Commission for the then new San Jose McEnery Convention Center. The city commissioned Therese to create a companion piece to hang at the opposite end of the convention center, which was finished in 1993 (Butterfly). Then 10 years ago the convention center was renovated and the quilts were transferred to Seven Trees Community Center before they came to SJMQT.
