Statement
My art is about connecting with nature and sharing that experience with others. I use an intuitive process to develop shapes and colors in my abstract work, and often use a limited palette to create a certain mood. Mark making is a form of exploring and responding as I seek a balanced and harmonious design. When I paint the land, sea, and sky I look for patterns and simplified shapes that help me create a poetic interpretation and to capture the essence of a place.
