Abstract art, my opinion, should strive to provoke, stimulate and elicit an impression that perhaps is unique, personal to the viewer. As much as I try to not insert easily identifiable elements and details found in the real world it does happen from time to time, something that many people see in my abstracts, reminders of reality. That is ok. Happens to me sometimes to, upon completion and review, something sometimes comes forth that to my eye is identifiable or suggestive of reality, perhaps an object found in our real world.
So when I title I often, not always of course, try to be nebulous in my titles of my paintings. I don't want to place a thought, impression in the viewers mind of something known, seen before, but allow the viewer to form a total impression and sensation of my abstract painting totally on their own.
