Peloloca

Sacred & Profane

A sculpture series of new deities and idols for a world where old gods no longer hold.  Birthed from radical moments in history, apocryphal theology, or speculative mythology, each entity of the series carries its own origin story.  Their creation channels millenia of rage and grief that leads up to today’s genocidal complicity, imperial supremacy, and gender violence.

We Breathe at Night

A series of biomophic sculptures inspired by the resilience of plant life that thrive in harsh environments. Xerophytes such as cacti, agaves, and desert grasses, have developed evolutionary tactics over millenia to withstand climate extremities. Drawing on this adaptability, this series of sculptures imagine biotic beings that evolve to outlast the violent era of the Anthropocene.
