Unlike most plants, cacti conduct a different type of photosynthesis, opening their stomata for C02 intake only at night, thus conserving water and energy. Drawing on this adaptability, this sculpture imagines a biotic being evolving to outlast the rapid destabilization of the earthly ecosystems due to human activity.
