It's true I made this necklace some time ago, but it is one that I can't stop getting excited about. I love all my works to some degree, though love fades into "like" more often than not, as I and my work evolves. Volcano is different. She is magnificent. Her red is deep, dark, bright, and rich all at once. The silver-lined crystal beads have the most perfect sparkle in dramatic contrast to the unlined red beads.

These beads were all made in the Czech Republic where beautifully colored beads are a tradition, hand made, often in a family setting.

And then there's the geometry, a mathematical accuracy of counting, that gives the drape its art deco inspired shape. It is also interests the tactile sense. Running your hands lightly over the various glass surfaces is a delight of variety.

I love how this necklace comes together so perfectly. I love how it makes people gasp when they see it.
