I grew up in a small town and couldn't wait until the day I would graduate from high school and move away. As an adult, I learned how privileged my life was living in that small town - and of course, in a different time. Walking downtown to the library, riding bicycles and horses, never needing supervision because everyone knew where you were! And this painting makes me remember those Sunday afternoon drives we all took and now, it's the road to home again.
