The vase in this painting belonged to a friend in Arkansas. It was his grandmothers and everytime we would visit, I just wanted to paint the vase! I finally borrowed it and found flowers that would not compete with the vase to complete my composition! It's definitely from a time gone by and it deserved to be captured in a painting!
