Born and raised in Michigan, David Andres decided to pursue his interest in art while attending Delta College after noticing that he was taking more art classes than any other subject. After earning his associate degree in art, he began attending classes at Saginaw Valley State University, continuing his artistic endeavors. Then, due to life circumstances, college life was put on hold for several years. During this time, he continued drawing as a hobby, producing realistic images in graphite and charcoal as well as dabbling in comic book art. In 2024, he was re-admitted to SVSU and began his journey as a painter, which he continues to this day. He works in realism creating images of interiors, landscapes, and still-lifes. In 2025, he won Best in Show at the 20th Annual Student Exhibition, Best 2D at the Emerging Artists Exhibition at Creative 360 in Midland, and First Place for Color Artwork in Cardinal Sins Magazine.
