Rachel Elizabeth Salcido is a self-taught artist based in Tyler, Texas, originally from Minnesota. Her work features abstract,modern, and impressionistic styles using acrylic, pastels, and mixed media. With a lifelong passion for creativity, Rachelhas been drawing and painting since childhood—first inspired by watching her brother create, then driven by a deep,internal need to express what words cannot.
Her art is both personal and communal: vibrant murals at a local church, commissioned pieces for businesses, and privatecollections. As a pastor and longtime homeschool mom, Rachel’s perspective is shaped by faith, family, and a love ofpeople, infusing her work with meaning and connection.
“I have a fascination with line and color in any form.
I love creating art because it’s inside me and it has to come out and when it does it lives and breathes. It's free. And then I can step back and share in that freedom.”
