Artist: Donna Cariker
Donna Cariker's passion for art began at age nine when she won a city-wide coloring contest. Over the years, she has explored a wide range of artistic mediums, from wall murals and designer apparel to ceramics and mixed-media. Her versatile career spans roles as an interior designer, art teacher, graphic designer, and art director.
Donna has painted murals for hospitals, created Mardi Gras posters, and designed promotions for Galveston’s annual Harborfest. She earned a Master’s degree in Fine Arts from the University of Houston and worked as an art director for the Moody Corporation.
Now based in East Texas, Donna continues to create, exhibit, and teach, incorporating her love for experimental art into everything she does, from home décor to fashion design. Her work has been featured in numerous exhibitions, and she remains an active presence in the art community.
