Philosophy of Art Practice:
“Painting is a source of tranquility and solace. There is no greater place I can be alone with God to pray and worship than whilst I paint.”
She believes that God used painting to heal her from past trauma. Now, she paints to share her experience of God as the one who delivered her from a life of trauma and a once bleak future. Prayer and painting go hand in hand with this artist as she feels the closest to God while painting. Deborah feels blessed to practice as an artist in Tyler, Texas and to be part of the city’s artistic community.
