The District of Algoma in Ontario, Canada has inspired many artists including members of the Group of Seven from Canada. Algoma, famous for the majestic White Pine tree, has immense beauty and diverse geography. The hike on the trail from highway 129 to reach this location has inspiring wilderness scenery. Tom Tompson from the Group of Seven traversed this very area as indicated by a local monument near Aubrey Falls. Highway 129 winds North from the town of Thessalon on Highway 17 North along the Mississaugi River North to Chapleau.
Well known as a popular motor cycle route called Tail of The Dragon.
