Message
From an early age Gail has had an interest in creating her own clothing designs, painting, drawing and taking photography. She was the designated sports photographer for her kids sports teams as they grew up. Her life has been filled with family, career and travel. Her goal was to dedicate more time to painting once the kids were on their own. With the kids beginning their own independent lives She and her husband decided to buy a second property in the country- a rolling, forested 14 acre lot 2 hours away from Toronto, Canada. With more time and the inspiration provided by the private country surroundings she began fulfilling her passion to paint.
Statement
My paintings are impressions of places and objects in the natural world that have inspired me. They reveal visual experiences that uplift my spirit. I examine the complexity of nature with shades and textures of colors to give it a voice. Reflections of light and color that transport the viewer to that experience so they can enjoy it just like I do.
