Painted in the Pawtucket studio shortly after returning from residency in France. This diptych is evocative of the sea and sky. Inspired in part by the watercolors of Venice by JMW Turner, this work discovers the a landscape of experience in Michael's memory. Images of the sea from his Mediterranean travels in the South of Italy come to mind in this work.
