"The true purpose of the methods...is to teach the warrior how to receive and fill his mind and body with a valorous spirit - one must polish one's ki and forge the spirit within the realm of life and death.
Realise that your mind and body must be permeated with the soul of a warrior, enlightened wisdom, and deep calm." - Morihei Ueshiba, Budo (1938)
I painted over a painting I did in college around 2011. It was called "The Revenge of Mrs. Duchamp." I think the energy came through in this piece. To me it looks like two warriors under fire, each galant in their warriorship, facing each other and not backing down. It speaks to the quote above. We can face life and our fears like a warrior - head on with honor.
Do you have a different view of this painting? I'd love to hear it!
