My water reflection moving towards abstraction
Oil on canvas 91cm x 91cm. This is the first larger painting in the new series on water reflections. I am investigating the surreal aspects of the subject, relinquishing the realistic interpretation of the landscape for a more expressive outcome. The stratification of translucent hues evokes the sensation of the current moment immersed in shallow water.
