"I dream of a time when clouds of butterflies take flight once again, when the air is alive with their dancing rhythms as my grandfather saw"

Each butterfly is lifesize, hand drawn from observation, the mobile inspired by the Small White butterflies seen spinning and dancing above the brassica through the summer. In 2024 even this "pest" butterfly has been scarce, a further reminder of the damage we are causing. My grandfather is no longer here to chronicle how nature was plentiful, we must find other ways to tell the stories.
