This is a very peaceful sculpture. It captures the "calm before the storm." The leaves and orchids appear to be resting serenely. While I try to enjoy the pregnant pause before life's rush, I think we always all hold an awareness of the undercurrent of upheaval and change that will come next. I always find myself gripping with tension in anticipation of the next gust to fight against, but I hope we can all enjoy the moments of tranquility more.
