MessageJoan Brady, a classically trained artist, draws inspiration from her seven-year experience living and working on a tiny island twelve nautical miles off the coast of Maine. Currently residing in Annapolis, Maryland, the new environment has captivated her, sparking exploration through her art.
Brady holds a B.A. degree from Mount Holyoke College in Massachusetts, where she received the Phi Beta Kappa Prize in Art. Additionally, she earned an M.A.L.T. degree from Notre Dame of Maryland University in Baltimore. Her artistic training includes studies at the Schuler School of Fine Arts, Zoll Studio School of Fine Arts, and Baltimore Clayworks in Maryland.
Throughout the East Coast, Brady's paintings adorn spaces as murals, trompe l’oeil, and framed works. Notable patrons and clients include the Henry DuPont Winterthur Museum in Delaware and The Hotel Hershey in Pennsylvania, among many others. Beyond her artistic endeavors, Brady has contributed to the field as an art educator, a sought-after guest lecturer, and has even made appearances on Lifetime Television. Her work has also been featured in publications like Better Homes and Gardens magazine.
