Janet Little is a self-taught Houston -based artist who started painting about 8 years ago after recovering from her initial diagnosis of Stage 4 ovarian cancer.  She is known for her expressive, bold style.

She is inspired by the inherent strength of women which she came to understand following her work as a nurse-midwife and during her time in the chemo lounge, getting to know other cancer survivors.    

Janet is a rather quick painter and finds that acrylic paint works best as she begins each intuitive piece. By expressing emotional strength on canvas, her hope is to inspire, encourage and connect through shared emotions and life experiences.
