Statement
"I create sculptures that reflect social and political dilemmas of our world. I work in the abstract and the real and I am inspired by the qualities of clay, its versatility, its textures and it's amazing transformation. Complementing the clay I juxtapose various metals, wood and discarded objects. Through this narrative I convey my concerns and raise awareness about the human condition. Recently, I have expanded my scope to include in my works of clay historic icons, modern images and decorative metaphors – uniting them to form a sculpture with many voices."
