Joy embraced multiplies.

It runs beneath the surface of life and pops up in unexpectedly.

I am reminded of the hallway of Old Main as a young girl, my father was a biology professor. One long hallway displayed the portraits of Texas State presidents. Beneath each portrait was a small planter. Inevitably SOMEONE would introduce unauthorized seeds into the planter soil and, much to the chagrin of the administration, happy little marijuana plants would shoot up amidst the ivy. The hardy little plants thrived in that hallway.

Joy reminds me of subversive seeds popping up in unexpected places.

PS The planters no longer hang beneath the portraits. But some of us still remember and smile when we walk the hallowed halls.
