“THE TRAWLERS” SIGNED ORIGINAL LIMITED EDITION DRYPOINT ETCHING BY THE AMERICAN ARTIST AND PRINTMAKER GEORGE ELMER BROWNE N.A. (1871-1946)
This limited edition drypoint etching, titled “The Trawlers” depicting fishermen on their boats at the docks, was created by the well known impressionist artist and printmaker George Elmer Browne. The etching is signed in pencil by the artist in the margin below the image lower right: Geo. Elmer Browne N.A., and titled in pencil by the artist in the margin below the image lower left: The Trawlers. The etching is also signed in the plate lower left corner: Geo Elmer Brown N.A. Edition size and date created is unknown.
As originally found, the etching with trimmed margins is adhered completely to a board backing. The image size measures 7 7/8 x 9 7/8 inches, printed on wove paper, the sheet size and board backing measure 9 5/8 x 11 7/8 inches.
