“PONT MARIE, PARIS” SIGNED ORIGINAL LIMITED EDITION ETCHING BY THE AMERICAN ARTIST AND PRINTMAKER ALONZO C. WEBB (1888-1975)
This limited edition etching created by the well known painter and printmaker Alonzo C. Webb, features boats unloading along the bank by the Pont Marie bridge which crosses the Seine River in Paris, France. The Pont Marie is one of three bridges designed to allow traffic flow between the Ile Saint-Louis and the Left and Right banks of Paris.
The etching is signed in pencil by the artist in the margin below the image lower right: A.C.Webb, and numbered and titled in pencil by the artist in the margin below the image lower left: 37/50 Pont Marie, Paris. The etching is also plate signed in the image lower left corner: WEBB PARIS.
As originally found, the etching is adhered completely to a board backing. The image size measures 7 x 11 inches, printed on tan color wove paper with margins, the sheet size and board backing measure 9 3/4 x 13 1/4 inches. The etching comes unframed.
