“PALOMAS” AUTHENTIC VINTAGE 1954 CERAMIC ART TILE D’APRES THE SPANISH SURREALIST ARTIST SALVADOR DALI (1904-1989).

This authentic vintage hand painted decorative art pottery tile designed by Salvador Dali, with strong elements of Surrealism exploring the artist's fantasies, is a fine example of the artist’s work. The tile is signed in the pattern: Dali. The tile was edited in 1954 by Maurice Duchin and hand crafted in atelier MPG under the control of Salvador Dali.

Titled “Palomas” (Doves) from “La Suite Catalane” (The Catalan Suite). The tile image front has a high gloss glazed surface. Marked on the back impressed in the clay with raised letters: MPG - ONDA - ESPANA MADE IN SPAIN.

The tile measures 7 7/8 x 7 7/8 inches by 3/8 inch thick and weighs 1 pound 10 ounces.
