“HONEY WATER” SIGNED ORIGINAL LIMITED EDITION LITHOGRAPH BY AMERICAN PAINTER AND PRINTMAKER ELLA FILLMORE LILLIE (1884-1972)

This limited edition lithograph, a whimsical image of elves drinking nectar from a flowering plant, is signed in pencil by the artist in the margin below the image lower right: Ella Fillmore Lillie, and titled and numbered in pencil by the artist in the margin below the image lower left: Honey Water Ed:50.

Ella Fillmore Lillie is well known for her lithographs which are infused with a soft round quality that makes them slightly surreal. This small edition lithograph is an excellent example of the artist’s graphic work. The image size measures 10 x 8 7/8 inches, printed on light cream color wove paper. The sheet with full margins measures 16 x 12 inches. The sheet is blind stamped in the upper right margin: E.F.L. and also in the lower left margin: THE SHEALING DANBY, VERMONT. The lithograph comes unframed.
