“CECILIA" ART NOUVEAU MOVIE POSTER, 1980'S ORIGINAL CUBAN SILKSCREEN POSTER BY THE CUBAN PRINTMAKER AND ILLUSTRATOR ANTONIO FERNÁNDEZ REBOIRO (1935-2020)

This cuban silkscreen movie poster is of the famed 1980s Cuban film Cecilia. The poster is by the Cuban printmaker and illustrator, Antonio Fernández Reboiro. This extremely rare cuban silkscreen movie poster is an excellent example of the artist’s work. A copy of this celebrated poster was chosen for inclusion in the superb Spanish anthology El Cartel de Cine Cubano 1961-2004, the 2013 French art book Cuba Grafica: Histoire de L'Affiche Cubaine and the 2016 book Hecho en Cuba: Cinema in the Cuban Graphics, which was published for an extensive exhibition of Cuban poster art in Italy. The poster is print signed in the image in the bottom left: reboiro. The image size measures 28 1/16 x 18 inches. The full sheet with margins measures 29 15/16 x 20 inches. The poster comes unframed.
