I am an abstract artist who has been living and working in Hawaii for 10+ years. My art career started at Art Glass at Glen Echo in Maryland, where I took my first classes in 2001, volunteered in the gallery, and became a resident artist for two years. Throughout my career as a glass artist, I have continued my education by taking master classes in Maryland, Illinois, at Bullseye Glass facilities in California and, in recent years, online. Starting in 2009, in Maryland, and here in Hawaii, I have been creating art in home studios that I share with my husband. After we moved to Hawaii in 2014, I began to paint, using acrylics; making collages; and creating multimedia artwork utilizing glass, paint, collage materials, and/or found objects. My most recent artwork includes all of these things.
The Waimea Arts Council, a 501(c)3 Hawaii non-profit, is the Island of Hawaii's oldest art organization. Established 1974.
