Eleftheria Easley
Springfield, VA
Northern Virginia based collage artist, Eleftheria Easley, unlocks the beauty and potential of collected items and invites the viewer to share a connection.
Message”Tangible Connections in the Digital Age” facilitates engagement beyond electronics and beckons the viewer to seek their own discoveries. The durable paper panels form a physical screen the viewer can simultaneously look at and through, which is an analog response to the digital reality of screen time. The screen has subtle front and back sides, which represent our conscious and subconscious thought processes. Each tile symbolizes a recorded memory or impression as a tactile pixel. The front arrangements indicate how we consciously retrieve these memories and the back view demonstrates how our subconscious might store data and generate associations.
