Charlie draws delightful, calligraphic images of people, monsters, animals, and robots. His drawings have a tender, exploratory feeling, his wandering line always finding new ways to define whatever object he is portraying. When he paints, he usually favors big brushes and washes of wet paint. His casual, gestural approach often results in subtle color gradations that loosely complement his drawings. In the studio, Charlie is warm, funny, and inquisitive.
