
Susan Danko is a distinguished artist who has been creating and exhibiting her artwork since receiving her Bachelor of Fine Arts in painting from the Cleveland Institute of Art in 1998. She garnered several prestigious awards during her studies, including the Joseph McCullough Painting Award and the Ellen Battell Stoeckel Painting Fellowship from Yale University. Her contributions to the arts community were further recognized with Ohio Arts Council Individual Excellence Awards in 2013 and 2021. She has participated in notable residencies, including a Fine Arts Work Center/OAC collaborative residency in Provincetown, Massachusetts, in 2013, and serving as a visual artist in residence at Shenandoah National Park in 2020. Through these experiences, Danko has developed a vibrant body of work that reflects her artistic evolution and storytelling abilities, establishing her as a significant figure in the contemporary art scene.
