Born in Memphis, Tennessee, Spinosa studied at the Cleveland Institute of Art and Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, where he earned the degree of M.F.A. in 1988. Since the early 1970s, he has participated regularly in group shows, and has had numerous solo exhibitions in Ohio and Pennsylvania.
