Sinbondit worked at the Cleveland Institute of Art as a ceramic artist, teacher, and technical specialist. Her work is regularly exhibited, including at the Akron Art Museum in Akron, Ohio, and the Museum of Craft and Design in San Francisco, and she has twice won Individual Excellence Awards from the Ohio Arts Council. Her ceramic sculptures and object designs, she explained, explore "paths of movement" in clay, bending, curving, twisting and curling to create marks like calligraphic brushstrokes. She finds inspiration in the swirls of Arabic, Tamil, and other languages that treat handwriting as an art form.
