NO APTITUDE FOR SILENCE

I thought I hated silence
It seemed so vast and empty

A consuming beast.

Inciting the chaos of spiraling within-
I made so much noise to keep it at bay

But when I took the time to seek it out,
I realized just how truly hard it was to find
And how beautiful it could be.
