We bring the arts to your bedside, free of charge in Duke North, Duke Medical Pavilion, and Duke Central Tower.
Self-directed kits including: adult coloring books, journals, puzzle books and playing cards.
Patients, family members and staff may order for patients staying long term in our hospital.
You may request up to two free kits per week.

Arts & Health at Duke - Artists in Residence
Our Artist in Residence (AIRs) are professional musicians specifically trained to play music in the clinical environment. Musicians perform in public spaces and at patient bedsides. William Dawson is Arts & Health's Musician In Residence, Semans/Byrd Performing Arts Coordinator.
Arts & Health Exhibit Spaces
The Arts & Health display areas include the Arts & Health Main galleries, Clinic 1A Concourse display case, Morrison (1D) display case, and the Duke Eye Center Concourse display cases.
Duke Cancer Center Public Artwork
The Duke Cancer Center's collection of North Carolina artists can be found in the public areas of each floor including the elevator lobbies and the waiting areas.

Duke University Hospital Staff Appreciation Mural
The Duke University Hospital Staff art installation is a celebration of this past years excellence and resilience demonstrated by all essential staff members in 2020. Through the eyes and talent of artist Sean Kernick, this eight panel installation represents the diversity and teamwork that it takes to serve our community through the Duke University Health System Values of Caring for Our Patients, Their Loved Ones, and Each Other.
The mural is located in the HAFS hallway which is parallel to the Duke Hospital Concourse near the Duke Medicine Pavilion.
