The upper white cliffs of Zoroaster Temple and Brahma Temple are made up of Permian Coconino Sandstone, topped by remnants of Kaibab Limestone and Toroweap Formation, younger layers of rock in the Canyon. These famous landmarks in the Grand Canyon of the Colorado River, Brahma Temple (left) and Zoroaster Temple (right), stand out on the horizon, viewed from the South Rim of the Canyon.
