Near the Phantom Ranch at the bottom of the Grand Canyon, cottonwood trees along Bright Angel Creek and the Colorado River were showing colorful autumn splendor, even though it was December.
The sunlight angling through the Canyon made this little cabin and the trees glow like gold, and the black Vishnu schist and pink Zoroaster granite (the Vishnu Basement Rocks) in the Canyon walls also were gleaming.
The image is framed with a double mat and black frame.
