Part of my Fruits Of The Spirit series, this piece encapsulates Self Control It is important to me that my art be accessible to all regardless of their faith background. The concepts explored in the Fruits Of The Spirit are simply healthy habits and mindsets we can all benefit from regardless of our spiritual beliefs, and are themes that we all run up against in our daily existence. Control over choices and behaviors starts in control over our mind. I immediately saw a vision of a tangled mass of yarn symbolizing the mind's state, slowly being stretched out, straight and untangled, between the figure's two hands.
