Part of my Fruits Of The Spirit series, this piece encapsulates Generosity. It is important to me that my art be accessible to all regardless of their faith background. The concepts explored in the Fruits Of The Spirit are simply healthy habits and mindsets we can all benefit from regardless of our spiritual beliefs, and are themes that we all run up against in our daily existence. Our society tells us that before helping others we should think about whether they "deserve it" or not, but we all have received both joys and sorrows throughout our life that we didn't necessarily deserve. This piece speaks of abundance - there is truly enough for everyone, and others having their needs met doesn't mean that our own needs won't be. Water flows from within our central figure like a vessel, and she is also surrounded by a vast space of water with lush plants growing from it that she can draw from. Generosity and goodness doesn't mean we empty ourselves until we have nothing left. We must tap into our larger community and work together to bring the change we wish to see.
