I graduated from Perth UHI in 2016 in Contemporary Art Practice. My inspiration to paint and draw comes from my fascination to emulate, the sun glinting on water, a shaft of light on a rock, through the petals of a flower, a droplet of water. I love to use pure vibrant colours in my palette to enhance my interpretation of the subject I am painting.
My particular favourite medium are oils on canvas, the subjects that inspire me are seascapes, landscapes, and the Scottish Highlands, mainly painted from holiday memories or photographs I have taken on holiday. My repertoire is quite eclectic as I enjoy painting all manner of subjects, from portraits, both human and beloved pets to flowers, finger painting, pastels, and Acrylic pouring techniques. I enjoy experimenting with different mediums as it enables me to keep my paintings fresh interesting.
