Artist: Alison Carrie
Alison Carrie is a self taught author & crafter, whose main area of interest is the history of the local jute industry across Dundee & Tayside. After writing her first book "If These Wa's Cuid Talk", she moved onto specialising in jute crafts, creating household wares such as shopping bags and coasters, from "the golden fibre". Having recently returned to her hometown of Kirriemuir, Alison is looking forward to starting a second book, appropriately beginning in "Thrums
